Office Robot is classified as an automation robot (Robotic Process Automation – RPA). Like block chain, Arificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), RPA is a technology with high applicability in the process of digital transformation.
The software works based on predefined rules, helping to perform large-volume, repetitive tasks such as data entry, creating orders, granting access and tasks requiring Continuous coordination between many different systems. Therefore, it significantly enhances job performance and reduces the amount of labor employed.
Unlike AI technologies or deep learning that require processing and exposure to large amounts of data, RPA simply operates based on predefined rules.
Therefore, this technology is very suitable for processing data that requires high data security and safety. RPA can be applied to insurance, finance, procurement, supply, accounting, customer service, and human resources.
RPA is currently a widely used tool in Japan. This technology is still quite new in Vietnam, but in the near future, this concept is likely to be more widely disseminated. Currently, only Office Robot – a RPA software has been introduced to Vietnam with customizations specific to the market.
